Dear CP Families,

Happy New Year! This month, we are focused on helping students settle back into our CP routines. We spent the first week reviewing expectations, reconnecting as a school community, and enjoying time together during today’s assembly. We look forward to celebrating all of our students’ accomplishments this year.

As we continue to support students’ growth early in the year, we are also conducting another round of FastBridge testing with our K–1 students. FastBridge is our universal reading and math screener and provides an updated snapshot of a child’s early literacy and math skills compared to peers nationwide. This assessment includes skills such as word segmenting and decoding, as well as number sequencing and decomposing, among others. FastBridge remains just one part of a child’s overall assessment portfolio. Scores will be available in the Student Assessment Report within the Parent Portal in February, and parents will be contacted if a child’s comprehensive profile indicates a need for additional support.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to ensure every student’s success.

Take care,

Ms. Rodriguez
