Dear CP Families,

As we head into our last week of 2025 together, take a moment to chat with your student about how they’re showing the Dolphin 3’s at school.

You can ask things like: How are you staying safe around others? How do you show respect to your classmates and your teachers? How are you showing responsibility at school?

Our students are thoughtful and more than capable of not only modeling the Dolphin 3’s, but also explaining how they see them modeled at school.

Thanks for taking part in this conversation.

See you in January for the next Coffee with the Principal!

Take care,

Ms. Rodriguez

Caring Kids Club

Caring Kids Club will be hosting its last after school meeting of 2025 on Monday, December 15, in Room 120 at 3:15pm.  The group will learn about housing instability and make holiday cards for residents at Beds Plus (a local LG homeless shelter).  You can sign your student up to participate here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0F4BA5AF2FA5F58-60815104-cpcaring

We ask all attendees to bring a $5-$10 gift card to McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts, Subway, Trader Joe's, or Aldi.  Our goal is to attach a gift card to each holiday card, so we can treat the BP residents to a hot drink/bite to eat while they work to stay warm this holiday season.  If you'd rather send a cash donation to a CKC parent/teacher leader, please connect with Lauren Fine (baileybefine@gmail.com; 630-501-4381) or Ms. Meza (2nd grade).  We look forward to having your students join us!

CPCFRO Winter Registration

CPCFRO is an athletics program within D102 that introduces volleyball and basketball to 5th and 6th grade students. The program's goal is to introduce the basic skills of each sport, get the children excited about playing, and allow for the inclusion of all kids in our district. All the teams within CPCFRO (Congress Park, Cossitt, Forest Road and Ogden) are coached by parent volunteers.

While we keep score during the game, we do not keep track of wins/losses...the focus is strictly instructional and for the kids to HAVE FUN!!

The winter season is January through March with separate 5th and 6th grade teams for boys' basketball and girls' volleyball playing 7-9 games.

Register by Sunday 12/14/25!

http://www.cpcfroathletics.com/registration

All participants including coaches need to register online via the CPCFRO Athletics League website. Please contact your school representative if you need assistance with registration.
