Dear Congress Park Community,

This week, our students had the special opportunity to hear from author Kate Hannigan, who shared an inspiring message about perseverance and finding joy in learning. She encouraged students to always keep trying and to ask themselves, “How can I do better?” It was a meaningful and joyful experience that reminded our students (and staff!) that growth happens one step at a time — and with a little joy along the way.

The inspiration continues! On Monday, we will welcome Matt Wilhelm to Congress Park!

Matt is a Guinness World Record Holder, 2-time National Champion, and a World Championship medalist who brings a mix of jaw-dropping tricks and powerful messages.

Matt’s assembly focuses on kindness, positivity, and standing up for others — showing students that anyone can be an everyday hero.

We are so excited to continue offering experiences that inspire, challenge, and uplift our students — and we are especially thankful to our amazing PTO for helping bring these opportunities to life. Your support makes a lasting impact, and we’re grateful to be part of such a joyful and connected learning community.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our parents and community members for showering our staff with love, appreciation, and lots of snacks during Staff Appreciation Week! Your kindness and support help make Congress Park such a special place to learn and grow.

Important - Registration for the 2025-26 School Year

This is a reminder that online registration must be completed for ALL returning students. If you know at this time that your child will not be attending Congress Park next year, please email the office at cp-office@dist102.k12.il.us.

Enrollment involves going online to fill out and update the required information for your student. Please be sure to verify that all information is correct - i.e. addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts, etc.

This process can be completed via your computer, tablet/iPad, or similar. Please note - you cannot complete online registration on a cell phone or through the PowerSchool App.

If you have multiple students, you must enroll each student separately.

You, as the parent/guardian of your child, should be listed as the first emergency contact.

If you lease a property or reside with someone within D102 boundaries, we request that you submit an updated lease or the Residency Affidavits each year.

If your address has changed from what we have on file, you must provide new residency documents. You can upload new residency documentation as a part of this online registration, or drop off those documents at your child's school of attendance.

Residency information may be requested from returning families after the online registration has been submitted.

Your student's enrollment is not confirmed until you have completed all steps and provided the required paperwork.
